We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Group Management Accountant to join our finance team. 

This role will involve preparing management accounts, consolidating financial information from our foreign subsidiaries, and developing and managing an integrated Profit and Loss, Balance sheet, and cash flow budget model. 

The successful candidate will also take on line-management responsibilities in the future and participate in due diligence activities related to acquisition targets. 

Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics is essential.

This is a hybrid role with two days per week working in our Marlow office.

The Role

Management Accounts:

  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts.
  • Analyse financial performance, providing detailed commentary and insights.
  • Analyse financial performance, providing detailed commentary and insights.
  • Prepare responses to Private Equity data requests.
  • Prepare bank covenant certificates.

Consolidation of Foreign Subsidiaries:

  • Consolidate financial statements of foreign subsidiaries in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data across all subsidiaries.
  • Coordinate with international finance teams to gather and validate financial information.

Integrated P&L Management:

  • Develop and manage an integrated P&L statement for the group.
  • Monitor and report on variances against budgets and forecasts.
  • Implement and maintain financial controls and procedures.

Line Management:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior team members working in multiple locations.
  • Oversee the performance, development, and training of finance team staff.
  • Manage team workflows and allocate tasks effectively.

Systems and Processes:

  • Utilize Microsoft Dynamics for financial reporting and data management.
  • Continuously improve and streamline financial processes and systems.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy within the financial system.

Due Diligence for Acquisitions:

  • Participate in financial due diligence activities for potential acquisition targets.
  • Analyse financial information to assess risks and opportunities.
  • Provide detailed financial reports and recommendations to support decision-making.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent) with extensive post-qualification experience.
  • Proven experience in preparing management accounts and financial consolidation.
  • Strong understanding of international financial reporting standards and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics or similar financial management systems.
  • Previous experience in a group or multi-national company environment is highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience in team leadership or management is advantageous.
  • Experience with M&A due diligence processes is a plus.
  • Experience in working with a PE-backed company.
